U.S. House Passes Resolution Honoring The Hadley School for the Blind

Winnetka, IL—The U.S. House of Representatives overwhelmingly passed a bipartisan resolution authored by Rep. Mark Kirk honoring The Hadley School for the Blind. Representative Kirk presented the resolution to Hadley trustees, staff and students during the school's annual Student Awards Ceremony. Learn more about the congressional resolution honoring Hadley.

Hadley and the Motorola Foundation Unite to Help Young People Excel in Science and Math

The Hadley School for the Blind received a $10,000 Innovation Generation grant from the Motorola Foundation. The grant will help fund two Hadley courses that teach basic math and Nemeth code, the braille code for mathematics. Learn more about Motorola’s Grant to Hadley.

Adult Continuing Education and High School Program:

Experience Braille Reading
This course will help braille readers become familiar with reading a wide variety of material by providing exposure to the specialized formats used for brailling calendars, menus, recipes, poetry, song lyrics and more. Learn more about Experience Braille Reading.

Literature: Fiction
Short stories and novels can entertain, teach about different people and places and inspire thinking about the meaning of life. This course presents short stories and novel excerpts and examines their elements. Learn more about Literature: Fiction.
